Winter-Dent and Company
This quarter, the spotlight shines on a new REDI investor, Winter-Dent & Company. Winter-Dent & Company has had a strong presence throughout Central Missouri for many years, serving the area since 1912. Until recently, all offices were located in Jefferson City, but in May of this year, the agency opened an office at 1205 West Broadway in Columbia. Winter-Dent & Company is a full-service Independent Insurance Agency that currently employs 35 Central Missourians. The Columbia office, with a staff of five, brings local service to Columbia clients of Winter-Dent & Company and can offer all of the products and services available in the total agency, with room to grow.
Company president Louis Landwehr explains, “Columbia has been a very important market to us for a number of years. With representatives actively working in the community, much of our recent growth has been in Columbia, and opening an office here is a natural evolution of that growth. We are excited about the opportunity to have an even stronger local presence here, and are committed to being an integral part of the Columbia business community.”
Service divisions of the agency specialize in Commercial Property & Casualty Insurance, Bonds, Employee Benefits, Financial Services, and Personal Insurance. Clients of the agency range from the larger locally-based construction, transportation, and manufacturing/processing-related industry, needing highly specialized risk solutions and safety consulting assistance, to individuals needing personal insurance, estate and business continuation planning, and financial services.
When asked why he thinks it is important to support REDI as an investor, Landwehr states, “REDI is an organization simply dedicated to making Columbia a stronger community and improving the business climate. Winter-Dent & Company is part of the Columbia business community and we feel it is important, as a member of the business community, to support that effort.”
