City Manager touts REDI success in State of the City address

06-Jun 08, 2017

Columbia City Manager Mike Matthes gave his 2017 of the City address June 7, and counted REDI's recent successes among the city's major accomplishments.

Matthes stated that "Over the past few years, the Economic Development Department (REDI) and The City Council have helped to create or retain over 1,000 jobs at companies like Dana, Kraft, NorthWest Medical Isotopes, and Aurora Organic Dairy." Matthes said these jobs are important to the city and a priority of the City Council because jobs create social equity.
