CoMo Game jam IV42 – Answer to-the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything- and so…

we will gather together for 42 hours to create a new video or tabletop game.

This is our 4th large gamejam in 2 years and the 3rd Game Jam event saw the creation of 14 video games, 4 tabletop games, and 2 VR games.

Video promo previous gamejam:

Come as an individual and join/lead a team

or

Gather your crew and bring the entire team for the Jam (be on the lookout for other talented people to join your crew)

We’ll select a theme at kick-off

Attendees will be given a few minutes to come-up with a game concept and pitch to the group. People join projects they’re interested in helping with.

We have advisors, food, and drinks throughout the weekend to keep you moving.

Who should attend:

  • Indie-game Developers
  • Game Developers
  • Tabletop creators
  • Artists
  • Musicians
  • Storytellers/Writers
  • Business & Marketing folks
  • People who love games

What if I don’t know anyone?

Great! We didn’t know anyone when we started this either, there was 2 game devs and a supporter who wanted to find other people to play/work with. Our last event had 60 people attend, most didn’t know anyone when they started. One of the magical things at a gamejam is the space between working when you connect with people over your love (or hate) of different games.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Really.

We are fortunate to have great sponsors from Regional Economic Development Inc. (REDI) to Hawthorn Bank, and Columbia College. The support from the community has helped propel our game creators forward. We see no reason why Mid-Missouri can’t become a HUB of world-class game creators and our supporters agree. We strive to keep the entry no-cost and utilize sponsors to cover food and drinks throughout the weekend so your team can focus on making a great game.
